These past two weeks have been extremely busy for me. I went from coaching the team in Lisbon, Portugal at the 2018 IBJJF European championships, to coaching the team in Brazil at ACB. In taking the time to reflect here are some of my thoughts.

This past weekend professor Caio Terra competed in Fight to win for the 135lb title! Fight to win is one of the premier Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments. All of their events are submission only, in the event of a tie the judges score the match based on who was closest to finishing and the amount of submission attempted.
In September 2015 Professor Alessandro Nunes became the 2nd CTA affiliate in Brazil. In 2016 Professor Nunes expanded his role with CTA becoming the head of the Caio Terra Association Niteroi.
Professor Nunes runes the Alessandro Nunes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy, one of Niteroi’s premier Jiu Jitsu academies. His academy is filled with talent including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu phenom Rudson Telles, the 2017 Brown belt double gold world champion who trained with professor Nunes for two years and 2017 European open and Brazilian National champion Jessica Carloine.
