Last weekend was amazing. After winning my super fight, I did a seminar with my good friend Carlos Condit and met some very nice people. As much as I like competing, I love sharing the mats with others and spreading jiu jitsu so the experience was awesome.
After the seminar it kept getting better as I was surprised and honored to receive “the most technical fighter of the year” award.
When I was younger I was often frustrated and upset. Being smaller than others, everything seemed difficult and nothing seemed “fair”. In reality it was a blessing and through jiu jitsu I was able to see that.
I’d like to thank all my instructors and any one who has shared this amazing art with me. I would like to thank my family, my team, my friends and every one who follows and supports me. THANK YOU!!!!
