For Charles “Charlie” Hiersche, Caio Terra Academy, Lawrence, has been a dream come true! After years of hard work, dedication and countless hours perfecting the craft, in November 2019 Caio Terra Academy (CTA) Lawrence opened its doors to the public. We are excited for Charlie, his students and the Lawrence community and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in 2020!
Charlie himself started his journey in 2006 and is the first home grown black belt from Lawrence, Kansas! Charlie is heavily vested in the Lawrence community. When he isn’t teaching at the academy he works as a fire fighter for the Lawrence Fire department. Charlie believes strongly that through Jiu Jitsu we can change lives and we are sure that he will do just that!!
