This past weekend CTA Professor Kim Terra and Gabriel Marangoni traveled to Russia to compete in ACB 14! In less then 2 years ACB has taken the Jiu Jitsu world by storm putting on some of the best events and signing the sports biggest stars.
In the 3rd match of the evening, Professor Kim went against former world champion and ACB title holder Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes. After 3 action packed rounds Kim came up a little short and Tanquinho went home with the win.
Right after his match Professor Kim switched roles from competitor to coach as he cornered fellow CTA competitor Professor Gabriel Marangoni while still wearing his gi! Gabriel was facing Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho, the person who knocked him out of worlds this past year and in 2016. After 3 very exciting rounds, Gabriel was able to avenge his loss and was awarded the victory!
The best part of ACB wasn’t the wins or the matches but seeing the camaraderie between Kim and Gabriel. Win or lose, in victory and defeat, no matter what life throws at us, we are there for each other. That is the most important thing! #CTA
