This year CTBJJA held our first mundial camp as a team. Every one from the camp had stellar performances, taking home four silvers and three gold medals! In the juvenile division, Alexis Mitchell was crowned champion, and Joshua Vasques took home second place. In the adult divisions at purple belt, Jordan Landry and Manny Diaz both were crowned champions!! In the black belt division Luiza Monteiro took 2nd in her weight and 2nd in the absolute! Phenomenal accomplishment!!! Like many predicted Leandro Lo dominated his division taking home the gold. In the Rooster division, Caio once again lost a very controversial decision to Bruno.
Overall all CTBJJA athletes and athletes from camp won matches and performed exceptionally well. Most importantly they were good ambassadors of the association, the sport and their schools. A lot of talk about 2013 Pans and worlds but theres still a lot of 2012 left! Look for CTBJJA to make a big splash at American Nationals and no gi worlds!
