When I started the Caio Terra Association, I never imagined we would be where we are today and I couldn’t be happier! This past weekend we held our 5th annual association camp with affiliates from all over the world from Suriname to Zurich. Each and every one of these camps are very special to me and I look forward to connecting with old friends while making new ones. This year was no exception.
The week started off with the IBJJF San Francisco Open. At the end of the day we were crowned champions (for the 4th time) winning by a large margin. Although I was happy we won, I was even happier seeing how our teammates were all there for each other. Although many people see Jiu Jitsu as an individual sport, it takes a team to succeed.
For the remainder of the week I taught two classes daily with additional classes taught by professors Yuri Simoes and a special class by Denny Prokopos of 10th planet San Francisco. In the end I feel truly blessed to share the mats with so many special people and I look forward to the next camp! Keep training, keep evolving and remember in the end it’s not about winning or losing but having fun!
Tell next time, OSS!
