In December of 2012 JAO became a member of the CTA family. The process started many months earlier and after tons of emails, txt and phone calls we knew he would be a great fit. He came to us as blue belt in BJJ, and a black belt in Taekwondo. Above everything else he had a passion for martial arts and was a very good person.
After nearly two years from the date he joined JAO was recently promoted to the rank of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt by professor Milton Bastos! JAO has been working diligently spreading martial arts in his community and changing lives. The road wasn’t an easy one, being a blue belt is hard, being a blue belt teaching is extremely hard. Undeterred, JAO studied diligently, drilled and asked questions. CONGRATS JAO, purple belts is another step in your journey and I’m glad you let me be a part of yours.
